Nate is the Executive Director of The Heights Forum. In this capacity, he oversees the Forum’s professional services, including conferences, workshops, research, and consulting engagements. He has spoken on a variety of educational and formational topics across the country for institutions in Alaska, Massachusetts, Indiana, and Florida. Nate graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with an A.B. in Italian Literature, complementing his studies with coursework in philosophy, theology, and neuroscience. At Princeton, he also served as president of The Tigertones, the University’s signature all-male a cappella group. Following graduation, Nate worked in the Admissions Office at The Heights before joining the Hawthorn Foundation in New York City. He later pursued graduate studies in Italian literature at the University of Notre Dame, where he taught Italian language to undergraduates and was named a Bradley Fellow in the Mendoza College of Business. At The Heights, Nate has taught Natural History in the Lower School, Literature in the Upper School, and Writing Workshop in the Middle School. He is also an upper school mentor and Jackson Scholars advisor. Outside of the classroom, Nate coaches middle school baseball, leads a supplemental philosophy and apologetics seminar for high school seniors, and authors a Substack publication called Thought Matters. He and his wife, Helen, live in Arlington, VA.
