About Joe
Fifth Grade Homeroom
jbreslin@heights.eduJoe Breslin (Heights Class of ‘01) teaches and coaches at the Heights School and has published two collections of short speculative fiction, Hearts Uncanny: Tales of the Unquiet Spirit, and Other Minds: 13 Tales of Wonder and Sorrow. Samples of Joe’s fiction and some of his essays may be found at joeybreslinwrites.com.
Joe lives in Maryland with his musical wife, Elizabeth, who teaches at Mother of God School. A displaced Annapolitan, Joe loves to visit the state capital with Liz, while entertaining improbable fantasies about someday owning a home on Duke of Gloucester Street. Speaking of imaginative scenarios, the Breslins share a love of science fiction, fantasy, comic books, movies, and other nerdy and/or relatively inexpensive diversions. Joe reviews books and movies for the Heights Forum, and has published articles for Mercator.net, The American Conservative, and The International Indian. His favorite sci-fi authors include Ray Bradbury, Philip K. Dick, John C. Wright, and Michael Flynn.
