Mentor’s Compass: Responding to a Tough First Day

In this episode of Mentor’s Compass, 6th grade teacher, Shane O’Neill, discusses how we, as parents, can help our sons turn the challenge of a difficult first day into an opportunity for growth. Rather than brushing our boys aside on one hand, or indulging their feelings on the other, we need to accompany them as they take on the new challenge.  Shane offers both big picture ideas and practical considerations here.
