A Doctor, a Lawyer, and a Cop Walk Into a Boys School

Dr. Robert A. Liotta was born in Mayfield Heights, OH. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the Unites States Naval Academy in 1997, and earned his Medical Degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in 2001. After 29 years of military service, Dr. Liotta retired from the U.S. Navy in October of 2022 at the rank of Captain. Upon retirement, Dr. Liotta joined the Department of Radiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology, and joined the faculty of The Heights in August of 2023. Rob and his wife Julie have six children, two daughters and four sons.

Mark Grannis teaches logic and history at The Heights. He is the author of The Reasonable Person: Traditional Logic for Modern Life, and most recently, a Teacher’s Supplement for The Reasonable Person.

Mr. Zelaya recently retired from the Montgomery County Police Department after 20 years of service.  He is a father of five current Heights students who all experienced the excitement of the Valley in 3rd grade.  He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Paula, for 18 years.  Mr. Zelaya looks forward to the continued formation of your boys into virtuous men!
